 | Chisago Lakes Primary School Gets New Playground!
Chisago Lakes PTO has been raising funds for new playground equipment for the Primary School for quite some time. This month their dream became reality, with the installation of the equipment. First State Bank of Wyoming's $5,000 donation played a large part in their fundraising efforts. We hope many families visit the playground this summer!

Volunteers recently installed new play equipment at the Chisago Lakes Primary School, in the northeast corner of the school grounds. The money for this was raised through donations and fundraisers, including a $5,000 donation from First State Bank of Wyoming, a $200 Chisago City Fire Dept. contribution, Kurt Bluhm of Bluhm Construction and Peterson Companies (Curt Peterson) provided free manpower and some materials, Prefer Ready Mix (Jamie Amundson) provided concrete, Chisago Lakes Rotary donated a bench, Primary School teachers and Principal Brenda Schell helped in planning and doing events to help raise money and Amy Ralidak coordinated the project. Themescapes (Ole Nasvik) supervised the installation and coordinated the assembly, that was accomplished in one day. The group also thanks all the parents and residents who attended a fundraiser or bought T-shirts and sweatshirts, providing $7,000 in proceeds for the equipment, and thanks to all those who dropped some loose change into the many collections jars in the community.
Three First State Bank of Wyoming Scholarships Awarded in 2010! First State Bank of Wyoming proudly awards scholarships in the Chisago Lakes, Forest Lake & North Branch School districts. We award scholarships in each of the schools in addition to supporting many other organizations that award scholarships such as the Stacy & North Branch Lions, Doyle Memorial and the North Branch Chamber of Commerce. We feel it important to give back to the community that supports us and look for scholarship candidates that support our community in their volunteer efforts. Congratulations to all of the 2010 Graduates!
